Originally based in Switzerland and the Philippines, Tanja moved to Leeds, United Kingdom in 2004. Her art and perspective of the world has been influenced by the different cultures, environments and people that surrounded her.

Currently her preferred medium is acrylic on canvas. Her artworks have been described as intense, heavy, passionate, subtly grotesque, disturbing and unsettling. Reactions such as these are her objective. Each piece is created to invoke a strong feeling from the beholder.

Tanja is an exploration artist. Having isolated a theme she will explore the landscape, expressing, interpreting and inverting what she finds.

Her artworks are included in private collections in the UK, USA, Switzerland and the Philippines.
